What are the benefits of Kinetic massage ?
Here are some afflictions that may benefit from Kinetic Massage Therapy
Physical Conditions:
Musculoskeletal Disorders: Massage is commonly used to manage chronic pain, muscle tightness, and limited range of motion associated with conditions like back pain, neck pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, and sports injuries. It helps by increasing blood circulation, breaking down adhesions, and realigning collagen fibers, which can improve mobility and decrease pain.
Neuropathy: Massage can help alleviate nerve pain, paresthesia, and symptoms related to neuropathy, such as cramping and spasms. It also improves circulation and joint flexibility.
Headaches and Migraines: Regular massage therapy has shown benefits in reducing the frequency and intensity of headaches and migraines.
Injury Recovery and Rehabilitation: It aids in recovery from injuries by reducing pain, promoting tissue healing, and enhancing flexibility.
Postural Issues: Office workers and those with sedentary lifestyles benefit from massage to address postural imbalances and related discomfort.
Sleep Disorders: Massage can improve sleep quality, particularly in cases of insomnia related to menopause, chronic pain, or heart failure.
Immune System Support: Regular massage may boost immune function by increasing white blood cell counts and reducing stress hormones.
Digestive Issues: Abdominal massage may help with constipation, especially after surgery.
Psychological and Emotional:
Stress and Anxiety: Massage is well-documented to reduce stress and anxiety by lowering cortisol levels and increasing serotonin and dopamine, which stabilize mood.
Depression: It can help lessen symptoms of depression, particularly in people with chronic illnesses or those undergoing significant life stressors.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Trauma: Massage can help regulate the nervous system, reduce hyperarousal, and promote relaxation, making it beneficial for clients with unresolved trauma or PTSD.
Enhanced Relaxation and Well-being: Beyond treating specific conditions, massage promotes general relaxation, improves mood, and supports overall mental health

What to expect at your first session . . .
Initial Consultation and Intake
When you arrive, you'll typically be asked to fill out a health questionnaire and provide information about your medical history, current medications, recent injuries, allergies, and specific areas of discomfort or pain.
The massage therapist will review your intake form and discuss your goals for the session—whether you're seeking relaxation, relief from chronic pain, support for injury recovery, or other specific outcomes.
This is your opportunity to mention any medical conditions, past surgeries, or areas you want the therapist to focus on or avoid
Privacy and Comfort
After the consultation, you’ll be shown to a private massage room. The therapist will explain how to prepare for the session and then leave the room to allow you to undress to your comfort level.
You may choose to keep your underwear on or remove as much clothing as you feel comfortable with; you will be covered with a sheet or towel at all times except for the area being worked on.
The therapist will ensure you are properly draped to maintain your privacy throughout the session
The Massage Session
You'll lie on a padded massage table, usually starting face down. The therapist will begin with your back, neck, and shoulders, then work on other areas as needed, possibly asking you to turn over during the session
The therapist will adjust pressure and technique based on your feedback, so communicate openly if you need more or less pressure, or if anything feels uncomfortable

Jacqui Whyatt
Discovering Gary has been a game changer. After years of triathlon training and bootcamp I ended up with a herniated disc. Through rehabilitative massage he was able to help me avoid back surgery. Regular massage sessions with him have helped me to improve my mobility and manage my injuries, enabling me to continue endurance cycling. What sets Gary apart is his incredible blend of in-depth anatomical knowledge and his knack for understanding how to keep athletes thriving. He’s the only massage technician I trust to understand my body and know how to treat it. I can't recommend him highly enough.
Gary is truly outstanding at what he does. His ability to pinpoint and treat problem areas is unmatched. But what makes Gary really stand out is his warm, friendly, and professional nature- he’s not only incredibly skilled, but also easy to talk to and full of knowledge. Each session is both effective and genuinely enjoyable.
